What is a Constitutional Republic? A Constitutional Republic has representatives elected of the people to govern by Constitutional laws limiting the government’s power over its citizenry. A Republic is controlled by law, recognizing the sovereignty of each private individual, and to limit tyranny of the majority. The United States Constitution protects “We the people” against tyranny of the majority with many our Constitutional Amendments.
AMENDMENT I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
AMENDMENT II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
AMENDMENT IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
AMENDMENT X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
AMENDMENT XIV
Section 4.
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.
The United States of America is a Constitutional Republic built upon a system of checks and balances through our three branches of our government. Our current administration proclaims to be a Democracy. There is a difference.

so sad to see that a majority of people don’t even know the difference between a democracy and a republic. I honestly didn’t even know until my son’s History class this year (we home school using k12.com). Needless to say, I felt very small when my 9 year old knew more than I did about our nation!!!

It is not your fault. Our nation’s government schools are not teaching our children. “We the people” have been duped for decades. Bill Clinton not being impeached out raged me and put my on a path to educate myself and my children for the future. Everyone thought I was crazy when I warned of Obama. We are being ruled by the tyranny of the majority now! We must do all we can to enlighten the low informed of our nation.

It doesn’t help when the major news sources on the media constantly run polls to see what the majority wants on a certain subject. This creates an overall feeling of majority v. minority and a false sense of democracy. Most people, unfortunately, just roll with the tides and don’t think for themselves.
I’ve done more research and learned more about our government in the past few days from READING and checking sources than I ever did in high school. IDK if you have cable, but Oliver Stone did an awesome series of documentaries called “The Untold History of the United States” that starts with WWII and continues to present day. I haven’t watched them all, but so far they look very informative, and not the U.S. propaganda type of informative.

Our public school education system has been controlled by the Democratic party for decades! Their goal is to dumb down society by indoctrination and rewriting history. Core curriculum for high school will no longer read classics, green energy propaganda and sustainability will be taught instead. I have an issue with the wording of the questions used in the data mining of polls. Words are a very powerful thing. I am a news junkie. We do not have a free press. Main stream media is bought and partially taxpayer funded by the left. Ronald Reagan was a foe they had to recon with. Millions of Americans are oblivious of what is happening to our nation. Obama did get re-elected. People laugh at me when I tell them I am trying to save our nation, one person at a time. I am not particularly found of Oliver Stone but, he is doing his best to overcome his past atrocities.
